Sports Day is the most exciting and happy day that every student looks forward to. None can deny the truth that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. On the occasion of Junior Sports Day, the students of Nursery to Class I of Ruby Park Public School participated in different races and events. Our school celebrated Sports Day on the 17th and 18th of January 2023. The Chief Guest on the 17th of January was Ms Tania Das (Principal,Techno India Public School) and the Chief Guest on 18th of January was Ms Bipasha Das (Headmistress ,St. Francis Xaviers School). The events for the students of Nursery and UKG was held on 17th January while the events and races for LKG and Class I students was on 18th of January. Students of class I showcased their talent with an energetic and power packed drill performance on both the days. The Sports Meet began with a warm welcome speech by respected Principal Joyita Majumder followed by the speech of the Chief Guest and declaration of the Sports Meet Open. The lighting of the torch was done by the students and the dignitaries followed by the welcome song sung by the students of class I. The Sports Day began with the drill display of class I. Different themed races like Pop the Balloon, Health is Wealth, Doctor’s race etc were held. Parents, teachers and the members of the staff cheered the little sprinters which boosted their confidence. The event ended with the medal distribution ceremony. The students thoroughly enjoyed the Sports Day and look forward to a similar exciting and enriching experience in the upcoming years.
Chief guest for 17th January, Ms Tania Sen congratulated the entire team of Ruby Park Public School and stated that she was glad to be a part of the Sports Meet. AChief Guest for 18th January ,Ms Bipasha Das said that it was a joy to watch the little stars participate so enthusiastically in the various events. She enjoyed being a part of the Junior Sports Meet. In the words of Ms Joyita Majumder, Principal, Ruby Park Public School , “ Sports is that part of the curriculum that teaches us good spirit, loyalty to the institution and the meaning of a healthy competition. “Students, parents and teachers enjoyed thoroughly. Parents were overwhelmed to see their children perform. The students, teachers and parents collaborated to make this event a grand success.”
