Ruby Park Public School celebrated its much-anticipated Annual Sports Day with great zeal and enthusiasm on 15th January, 2024. The day was marked by a spectacular display of sportsmanship, talent and team spirit. The event commenced with a warm welcome speech by honourable Principal Ma’am Mrs Mousumi Mohapatra, highlighting the significance of sports in a student’s life.
The grand event began with a melodious rendition presented by the school choir which captivated the audience.
The spirit of sportsmanship soared with the release of the balloons and hoisting of the sports flag.
The March Past was a sight to behold as the contingents marched proudly in perfect synchronization and enthusiasm. This was followed by the oath taking in which the students took the pledge to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play.
The torch which is a symbol of unity and inspiration was lit and the sports meet was declared open by the Chief Guest, Mr. Prasanta Karmakar, renowned Paraswimmer. His esteemed presence added grandeur to the occasion.
Vivid cultural programmes like dance and drill were performed by students of various classes. The Taekwondo display was a thrilling demonstration of skill and discipline which was followed by the Yoga display. These performances showcased the students’ artistic and physical prowess.
The children participated in the field and track events with equal elan and prowess. The parents, staff and teachers also had their share of joy when they participated in various races.
Last but not the least, everyone stood up for the national anthem and the grand event ended on a happy note.
Principal Ma’am’s byte- It was a day filled with energy and enthusiasm. Students really worked hard and showcased their physical prowess with elan.
