The 6th of March marked a landmark occasion in the RPPS calendar with the ceremonial unveiling of the Space–Astro Lab within the school campus. The long-awaited occasion heralded a remarkable stride towards nurturing scientific curiosity and celestial exploration among young minds.
The distinguished guest of honour, Dr. T. K. Sundara Murthy, former Mission Director and Senior Scientist at ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation), graced the gathering with his presence. With an illustrious professional journey spanning more than four decades, he has been instrumental in the design and successful commissioning of renowned communication satellites such as EUTELSAT, HYLAS and AVANTHI. During the programme, he captivated the audience with enriching reflections and engaged learners in a stimulating interactive discourse.
The celebration was further enlivened by an exhilarating rocket launch demonstration, followed by a fascinating solar observation experience, offering participants an enthralling glimpse into the wonders of space science.
